My favorite Pippi memory is reading the Pippi books a few years ago with my now 7-year old daughter. She loved those books, and then of course she wanted to be Pippi for Halloween, and we made it happen! She walked around with a stuffed monkey on her shoulder saying she was "the strongest girl in the world". That still makes me get teary-eyed. It was a beautiful, empowering thing.
We named our spirited dapple dachshund Pippi Longbody!
I also love the episode of Gilmore Girls where they are horrified that Luke hasn't seen the Pippi movie and sing the theme song.
Love the buttons, but I wouldn't call her the original Pippi. The original Pippi, to me, is the illustration in the first Pippi book that I read as a child.
